Kate performed with the Maria Schneider Jazz Orchestra in April of 2006 at the Manchester Craftsman’s Guild in Pittsburg where the ensemble recorded a live DVD of Maria’s Grammy award winning suite “Concert In The Garden”.

Kate is currently a member of the new vocal group MOSS which includes the rare talents of vocalists of Luciana Souza, Theo Bleckmann as well as Peter Eldridge and Lauren Kinhan. The group will record for Sunnyside records in august 07.

Kate collaborated with Jazz Tap Ensemble for a week of performances at the Joyce Theater in NYC; an experience so musically stimulating she has begun adding Tap to her ensemble as another instrument to her ensembles. Look for more voice / tap collaborations in 2007.

In 2005 Kate toured along side Kurt Elling in renowned pianist Fred Hersch’s song cycle “Leaves of Grass”, a setting of Walt Whitman’s poetry to music that won Fred the Guggenheim Award. The ensemble presented “Leaves of Grass” to a sold out audience at Carnegie Hall in March of 2005.

In 2005 Kate performed as one of Lincoln Center Institute touring artists in The Different Moods of the Blues with Eli Yamin on piano, Bob Stewart on tuba and LaFrae Sci on drums. The quartet performed over 50 concerts in 2005.
